Health and Hygiene Promotion
Community Based Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM)

SRSP in partnership with UNICEF implemented Community Based Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) project for mother and child nutrition health care. In this project SRSP benefited 80,682 population in 13 union councils of:

  • Taluka Mehar district Dadu
  • Taluka Khairpur and Gambat district Khairpur
  • District Tando Mohammad Khan

The main activities of the project were:

  • Operating Out-Patient Therapeutic Program (OTP)
  • Running Supplementary Feeding Program (SFP)
  • Conducting Infant Young Child feeding Program (IYCF)
  • Conduct community mobilization sessions
  • Conduct nutrition awareness and hygiene promotion sessions
  • Provide IEC material to the health facilities, outreach staff & community
